Today I am going to talk about serotonin, a neurotransmissor found in the digestive tube, Central Nervous System and platelet, also it can acts as a vasoconstrictor , this substance affects a variety of functions and behaviors as memory, fear, answer to stress, digestion, addictions, sexuality, sleep, breathing and body temperature.
You can increase naturally levels of serotonin by working out like pedal bicycle, lift weight, running, footing, etc., because our body releases more tryptophan, the amino acid needed to form serotonin.
Also you can eat fruits, vegetables and legumes, and whole grains that indirectly cause increase levels of serotonin by increasing insulin levels which helps muscles pull with more amino acids to form tryptophan in your brain that is the base of serotonin.
Exposition to the Sun and bright light is another way to increase the serotonin levels. Actually light therapy is the treatment for seasonal affective disorder.
When you do an act for goodness the receptor of goodness and the donor increase the serotonin level.
