Learning to take dental radiographs.

When you are studying for dental assistant. You need to learn how to take intraoral radiographs.

Three types:

Pa periapical anterior superior and inferior. Pa posterior superior and inferior. Bitewings.

It is very important to learn how handle the position of the appliances and sensor to take correctly the radiograph. The pictures with the Kangaroo shows how to practice.

When the patient comes to the dental office for first time all mouth is measured. It is called Full Mouth Radiograph or FMX. Also an extra oral view is measured and it is called Panoramic view.
